About Johns-creek

Johns Creek is located in northeast metro Atlanta and is a relatively new and affluent city. It languished for many years as an aggrarian community and a series of trading posts. During the Great Depression, Milton County which included this area went bankrupt and so had to dissolve with the area being incorporated into Fulton County. In the 1970s, a group purchased land in the now Johns Creek area and built it up as a competitive sibling the nearby tech park of Peachtree Corners. This group named the area Johns Creek and since then many business have developed or settled in the area. Not until 2006 though, following the lead of Sandy Springs, did Johns Creek finally incorporate, now being one of the top places to live in the Southeast.
